West Norwood SE27 was to suffer from 13 V1's and 1 sole V2. 47 people died in the area.V1 & V2 logs SE27 West Norwood. There was major damage to some parts of the area, particularly in York Hill and Gypsy Road. The density of bombing was not, fortunately, as high as many other districts. SE27 was also to experience the terror of a V2. These missiles were fairly rare so far west, as they were launched from the Netherlands and fell short of their target.


Chatworth Way West Norwood The Church and a number of houses were demolished by a V2 which struck on 18th September 1944. 2 people died as a result of this missile.
