The SW2 area of London covers parts of Brixton, Streatham Hill and Tulse HillI. It was struck by 21 V1's which killed about 83 people. There were no V2' attacks. The Streatham Hill area suffered 5 V1's in very close proximity. These were in Wavertree Road, Streatham Hill opposite the end of Wyatt Park Road, Streatham Hill by Barhill Road, Barcombe Avenue and Downton Avenue The effect of the blast in this limited area was substantial with few buildings escaping any damage.The worst incident in SW2 was at a rest centre in Acre Lane which was hit by a Flying bomb on 28th June. The centre was used to assist people previously bombed out of their houses and tragically 25 die
