Kennington and Lambeth were hit by 11 V1's and 1 V2 theworst disaster being on the 4th January 1945 when a Rocket struck Morton Place killing 42 people.

Twenty-five years ago, driven by a desire to understand how these weapons shaped modern London, I embarked on a deep-dive research project. After hundreds of hours of investigation, I published my findings here. The V1 Flying Bomb and V2 Rocket represent a pivotal chapter in London’s history, and I am pleased to share this research with fellow history enthusiasts.
