The London SE5 Area, Camberwell was struck by 15 V1's and 2 V2's causing major damage to the district. 86 peoplewere killed as a results and numerous injured.

The worst incident in SE5 occurred on the 28th of June 1944, when 19 people were killed after a block of flats, Bentley House, was hit on the corner of Peckham and St Giles Roads. There was a further serious attack on the 17th of December when a V2 hit Bagshot Street, killing 17. The area which today forms Burgess Park was hit by three V1s and the Bagshot Street V2, causing extensive damage.
