London SE24 Herne Hill escaped relatively lightly from the V weapon attacks. 5 V1's fell in the area and no V2's 

The most obvious V weapon site in Herne Hill is in Stradella road where the line of Edwardianhouses can be seen to be interrupted by post war development half way up the West side.Equally in Guernsey Grove the damage area is clearly defined by re-development.In Burbage Road the effect is more subtle. The demolished houses shown below have beenre-built in an identical style to their neighbours which were seriously damaged. The Carver Roadsite is also harder to detect. However careful inspection of the Edwardian houses on the Southside reveal a slightly different style in the re-built houses.
