London SE1 already suffered major damage during the1940-41 blitz and now it was badly affected by the V1 and V2attacks.In total 21 V1's and 3 V2's exploded in the area which killed about 199 people.

Twenty-five years ago, driven by a desire to understand how these weapons shaped modern London, I embarked on a deep-dive research project. After hundreds of hours of investigation, I published my findings here. The V1 Flying Bomb and V2 Rocket represent a pivotal chapter in London’s history, and I am pleased to share this research with fellow history enthusiasts.
